Human hair wigs are the best choice out there for a natural look and feel.  There are so many reasons to own a wig. Some people wear wigs because they have lost their own hair either through illness, or chemicals, hormones or heredity. Some just have thinning hair and a wig helps bring back their self confidence. Others just like the idea of having different hairstyles. Also, interestingly, in some Orthodox religions where women are required to wear a head covering in public, a wig lets them do that without having to wear a hat or scarf all the time.

Wigs have a long history. The ancient Egyptians wore then. So did most of the well to do society from medieval times through the 19th century.  In past times, wigs were made from the wool of sheep, horse hair and other animal hair. Only the very wealthy could afford human hair wigs.

In modern times, human hair wigs are still more expensive than synthetic hair wigs. But they aren’t out of the reach of most wig wearers. You do get what you pay for. Human hair wigs behave more like human hair obviously. They hold a style better and they look more natural. Most of them are made to look so much like your own hair,  it’s virtually impossible to tell that they are wigs. Wigs today are also made so that they don’t fall off easily. Some you can even swim in!
